Link to Pictures

Since I have a good internet connection at Fonkoze and have a bit of free time, I thought I'd throw up some of my pictures on Picasa. I doubt you're interested in all the pictures of cracks and collapsed walls but there are also a few pictures in the other folders of all the tents around Port-au-Prince and the countryside. The link is http://picasaweb.google.com/109023387440893709524

  1. Hello Patrick! and Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and your namesake! I hope this email finds you well and happy today. Your parents gave me your blog site while they were at my home on Saturday night for dinner. You were missed! You are seeing so much right now. Reading your posts makes me feel your experience. The mountain views in the countryside must be glorious. Beauty is essential to life. Please take more photos. The more the better! You simply can't take too many. I want to see YOU in the photos too. I would very much like to send you a care package. Post an address on your blog with a phone number over there (it can be a cell phone from one of your associates) or email me at lmcvickers@comcast.net. Also if you make friends with a Haitian and he or she needs SHOES let me know their size and I will send a pair. From what I hear there is a shortage of shoes. Please keep your blog going. All of us want to read EVERYTHING you write. You make us happy to see you are staying calm.
With love and smiles to go,
    Linda

  2. wow so awesome! i just can't believe it the country side is so pretty! and the beach! also is that one giant white building with the gates the president's house? so i was trying to imagine what it would be like if you know we were in our apartment downtown toronto and there was this crazy earthquake and we managed to survive and had to live in tents on the street because everything we owned was destroyed as well as everyone that we knew. and then on top of that not knowing for do long if everyone you loved was okay and still trying to figure out how to feed your family and make money to buy basic necessities that you now need more of since everything was destroyed. i got nothing. there is no way anyone could possibly understand something like that unless you went through it.
